Ski Resort Isolated after Massive 7-Foot Snowfall in 48 Hours
During the winter of 2022/2023, the Lake Tahoe region in Northern California experienced its second snowiest season ever recorded. When I arrived at Palisades Tahoe ski resort on February 26th, they had already accumulated nearly 500 inches of snow for the season. However, our winter adventure was far from over. Winter storm Quest descended upon the area, bringing with it relentless blizzard conditions and an additional seven feet of snow. The resort had to close down, and most major roads became impassable, leaving only a small number of guests and employees stranded at the resort during the storm. These images provide a glimpse into the awe-inspiring scenes that unfolded during that unforgettable time.
